Update 5:

The tech called to inform us she is out of surgery and all seems well. Next visiting hours arnt till 7pm :( its now 4pm, so got an hour before we leave, thought I would inform everyone what I know thus far.
He said they have in her a little incubator in the ICU. Mostly to keep her warm and incase she needs oxygen that can be given from there. He also added that even tho she just came out of surgery and is all grogy that she looks like shes never been able to breath so easily and freely before. Which is comforting. I still hate the idea shes now breathing from her neck, esp when I think about her and her sister rough housing and playing like cats do. But anyway, hearing that she has an obviouse look fo relief is nice since formerly when she breathed you could see her entire body move just to accomplish this normal thing.
